Accidents and Pains: Look at the following sentences

My neck aches.

I´ve got a pain in my knee.

My arm hurts.

I´ve got a headache.

I´ve got a bad back/ backache/ a sore back.

I´ve got a splinter in my hand. / I´ve burnt my hand.

My nose is blocked up. / I´ve got a nosebleed.

My ankle is very swollen. / I twisted my ankle.

I´ve got a horrible blister on my foot.

I´ve sprained my wrist.

I´ve broken my arm.

I´ve cut my thumb.

I´ve got an eye infection.

You have ingrown toenails.

You hurt your shoulder playing tennis.  

I hit my head.

Some are related to accidents and the others with pains, but do you know the difference between pain, hurt, ache and sore? Let´s see the presentation and do the exercises: 

Look with your partner the following sentences and try to explain the differences between them.

I´ve my hair cut.

I´ve cut my hair.

I cut my hair.
