To be or not to have
Task 1
Unchained sentences: In a circle, I say something about me and the following student repeats it and adds something else, and so on.
Ex: I am short / She is short and I am intelligent/ She is short, he is intelligent and I am cool...
And now, in your notebook create your "I matter tree"
Task 2
Now draw the students’ attention to the following infographics and remember the form of the verb be and have got.
Now we ask the students to work in pairs.
They have two different sheets: Student A and Student B.
They must not show their pictures to their partners.
1st STEP: first exercise. You look at your picture and write what you have in the bag.
2nd STEP: second exercise. You write questions asking whether your partner has the same things in his/her bag. When the students finish writing their questions, they work in pairs and ask and answer in pairs.
3rd STEP: third exercise. Look at your bags. Then, look at the objects on the right. Ask your partner whether Jane or David has these things in their bags. Tick or cross out the objects in your pictures.
Finally, we write on the board the following sentences and the student tries to explain why we use or do not a particular determiner.

"I want a book. I really like reading books but I don´t want to read the book on the table. That book isn´t interesting for me. I prefer this book. It´s about adventures".
Task 3
How to play:
In groups of four, you have to guess your partner's country.
1st STEP: One student describes his country with the information given on the card.
2nd STEP: Once he has finished, the rest of the students ask a question, for example: Is it big or small? Which countries are their neighbours?...
3rd STEP: The one who guesses the country takes the card for him.
The person who gets more cards wins.
